The Gilmer County WV Historical Society members offer one-on-one classes and some limited size group classes. They are held in an informal, relaxed atmosphere.
We encourage people to drop in during our regular business hours, every Wednesday between 11:00am and 3:00pm (weather permitting) to brows through the Holt’s House Museum and Annex. Meet a few members and make plans to spend an afternoon learning interesting and useful skills. Heritage crafts are some of our favorites to share.

You may also like guidance and advice on how to do a genealogy search. We’ll introduce you to internet searches, archive searches which include land survey maps, family documents and old photos. If we don’t have the answers, we’ll do what we can to find someone who does. All our members are volunteers. It’s a labor of love.
